There are people who are on my friends' list who do not know much about me, so I've decided to give a 'stuff about me' post. For those of you who are on my friends list, feel free to ask questions or throw your own story in the comments.

My name is Dave, I'm 23 years old, and I live in the state of South Australia. This state, interestingly enough, is in the south of Australia, underneath the interestingly named Northern Territory, east of the even more interesting Western Australia, and west of Victoria and New South Wales. Hell, here's a map, for you crazy folks.

I study at Flinders University, a Masters with a view to a PhD. Thus, I am writing it like a PhD; partly because I refuse to accept it being a Masters, and also that my topic needs more than 50,000 words. I'm writing on Liberal Internationalism; namely using case studies to flesh out the limits of Liberal Internationalism, and to try to find ways to overcome these limits. Here are a few pics of campus-

This is most of the campus, I use the section that's at the top. Bottom area is medical campus.

Social Sciences South, the courtyard where my office is.

I'm in a relationship with a wonderful woman called Mel, almost 11 months in now; and it's wonderful :) She's planning a full day outing for us for the year anniversary, and I have bought her a present, which I am refusing to tell her what it is. It'll ruin the surprise, won't it?

My main hobby is home brewing. One thing about me is that if I get into something, I either do it full on, or not do it at all. Because of that, I brew all grain; that is, I start with a bag of grain, some hops, and brew the proper way- not with malt extracts cans, as is the simple way. It takes five hours to make a batch of beer (22L, but I'm going to get equipment to make each batch 44L), but most of that involves sitting around drinking beer, which is why it's fun.

To that extent, I own three fridges- a bar fridge, a chest freezer with a temp controller for maintaining the fermentation temperature between 18C and 20C. The third is my keg fridge, which has two kegs inside, connected to taps on the door. I'm considering expanding to a third, but that'll involve stripping some of the shelving on the door.

I love the X Files and the Simpsons; I have every X Files episode and am starting a Simpsons collection. With 18 (soon 19th is to be aired in the States) seasons, and 9 on DVD already, I have a few to collect. I have 2,3,4,5,9 already. I love TXF because of the wonderful production values, great acting and character development. The Simpsons is my other favourite show because I've been watching it since I was about 5, and I've grown up with that yellow-skinned family.

I'm sure you all know I work at Coles, been there for three years. I started as a night filler, and have progressed to become a casual duty manager. However, I'm getting sick of that job very quickly. I've gotten stuck into my supervisor and told him to get me tutes, and I'm going to have a look around for an on-campus job.

Hmm... not sure what else to write...

Hey! That's great idea about writing those stuff about you... I mean, I have you on my friend's list and I didn't know all that much about you. Well know I know much more! :)

As to writing about myself... Uh... I'll try :D

My real name is Magda Rogowska. But most of my friends calls me "andy", which is short-cut from my nickname :) I'm 18 years old (will be 19 this year!). I'm from Poland. I've just passed my final exams and I'm waiting for some information about my future. Ahich mostly means I'm waiting and wondering if one of the Univeristys I write to will accept me :) I hope to move out from my house and current city to University that's next to the sea. Mostly, because I allways wanted to live by the sea.

I adore TXF and Harry Potter. And my hobby is to write fanfiction to both of those fandoms.

I hope to teach in future. Polish Literature and such, but looking at my final exams' results I'm not so sure that's it possible.

I don't have Internet at home, that's why I'm often guest at my friends houses :) )(Like right now, when I'm taking care of four cats just to spend a week with Internet).

I'm alone, but not lonely. And I have more e-family than real ;) Or at least I'm talking to them more often :)

I'm not sure what more can I write...

I hope all goes well with the uni entrance; I was still kinda nervous despite the entrance requirements for my undergrad degree being quite low! Living near the sea sounds nice; spending time at the beach is always nice and relaxing- I live a one hour drive away from the sea, so that's annoying :(

I've noticed your love of TXF in your earlier posts, I'm a big fan too and I have all the episodes on DVD, which is great. Do you have the DVDs? Right now I'm buying the Simpsons DVDs, I have all the seasons they have released so far (9); but there are heaps to go (season 19 is airing in America this year)

With teaching, what level do you want to teach at?

I don't have the internet at home- essentially I had to pay for it, and since I get free broadband at uni, I decided to freeload while I'm supposed to be studying. They're starting to monitor usage, which comes with a 'bandwidth clock' now, but I'm nonplussed by it, really.

Cheers,
Dave

Unfortunetly I don't have DVDs, but I'm starting to collect them. There's one newspaper which been realised not so long ago and which contein TXF DVD. I only have first part, which contains 4 first episodes, but soon I'll have more. I just hope they'll submit all of the parts and I won't end with half of the x-files on DVD ;)I would really like to finally be able to watch all of the episodes. Mostly because I have never had the plesure (?) of watching 9th season. And when 8th was aired I was getting bored with The X Files at the moment, so I watched only few episodes. Actually to some point I was just watching XF never trying to understand the whole plot ;) And my main problem was that it's not orginal to be great Mulder's fan... And I became Skinner's fan XD I do believe that I become devoted to Krycek somwhere along the way, but I think it was "S.R.819" episode. XD

Uh... I talk to much, I write to much, never been able to shut up...

Teaching... I dream about teaching in high-school... I do believe that's the English name, I never have the patience to fully understand the differences between education systems.
I just don't want to teach kids, I'm afraid I wouldn't manage that. :)
